Coming from a family of butchers and cooks, Phil’s early days as a part-time kitchen porter for his Uncle Mick in Dagenham led him to London’s 5-star The Lanesborough, The Orrery, St Martin’s Lane hotel and L’Escargot, all Michelin-starred kitchens. He spent 23 years in Hertfordshire, earning his own Michelin star and 3 Rosettes at Auberge du Lac, before successfully running his own restaurant, THOMPSON St Albans, for 12 years. Now living in Bedfordshire, Phil’s private chef service, At Home Dining Thyme, brings that lifetime of elite experience and family passion directly into your home.
