To make this year Valentine’s a Saturday night for everyone to enjoy, we’ve partnered with premium English wine producer Chapel Down to help share the love and make the atmosphere even more bubbly than usual.
It’s always wonderful to welcome courting couples and first dates, but to fill the room with the buzz of free-flowing conversation and genuine laughter we’re calling all Galentines, Palentines and groups of four or more family or friends.
Book a table for four or more and there’ll be a bottle of Chapel Down sparking Brut to put some fizz into your evening.*
The menu is our regular Winter menu – with no hidden Valentine’s charges. Just the usual deliciously good, immaculately sourced meat, fish and vegetarian and vegan dishes.
We will be serving two very special sharing dishes: a 28-day dry-aged, grass-fed sirloin of beef served with peppercorn butter, marinated king prawns, beer battered onion rings, fries, rocket & pecorino salad and Baked Alaska – vanilla and cherry Swiss roll, steeped cherries and chocolate ice cream finished with a torched Swiss meringue.
And, if you join us at Lussmanns St Albans, you’ll be treated to the singing of Kate Garner, who recently appeared on Jools Holland’s BBC radio show and has graced the stage at the London Palladium and the Royal Albert Hall.
For the budding lovebirds – Woburn might be your ideal destination this year as it’s just been named among the UK’s Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants by Opentable.

Every meal we’ve served since 2002 has been made with exceptional ingredients, grown or produced with care and respect. In fact, 95% of what we serve comes from the UK and the meat is from animals reared free-range and/or to organic standards.
We’re proud to have been the first restaurant group outside London to be certified by the Marine Stewardship Council in 2014. Don’t just take our word for it. The Sustainable Restaurant Association recently awarded us Three Stars when we completed the Food Made Good Standard.
