Having started life in hospitality as a 16 year old in a Debenhams restaurant, I have been in the industry over 20 years. I’ve enjoyed working overseas in Australia & Canada as well as working in some of London’s finest restaurants, serving the A-list and more.
I have been under Andrei’s wing since 2014 and have enjoyed working in all of our five Hertfordshire sites, starting out as a waiter I have gradually come through the ranks, bringing me this great opportunity to work in our beautiful new restaurant in Berkhamsted.
Working here has provided the perfect platform for proving great food with great service in a welcoming, warm environment. Thanks to everyone for the support so far.

Xavier Hoyle
I started working for Lussmanns in St Albans in 2022. After joining I quickly went from a Starter Chef to one of the Senior Chefs and was then given the opportunity to take over the Berkhamsted restaurant as Head Chef.
I jumped at this chance because ever since I first worked in a kitchen as a teenager it has always been a goal of mine to run my own. I have a real passion for food and love to work in a high-intensity, fast-paced kitchen where the food is always fresh and the menu is always changing.

Our Berkhamsted restaurant does not permit dogs inside.
Dogs are allowed in the garden area provided they:
- are kept on a short lead and under control
- remain on the floor at all times
- are quiet and well behaved
- are not fed from your plate
- arrive and leave via the garden only
Owners are responsible for their pet’s behaviour and we reserve the right to ask for dogs to be removed at any time.
Please ask if you would like a water bowl.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of our restaurant.
