Staff Profile: Nicky North (St Albans)

My name is Nicky North and I joined Lussmanns in May 2007, in our St Albans restaurant. I am 28 and married to my lovely husband Nick. I am also currently working towards opening my own floral design company. I studied business studies at university, but have always have had a love for restaurants, food and flowers. I have been working in the restaurant industry since I was thirteen, and before Lussmanns I was managing a Pizza Express in Berkhamsted. I work part time in Lussmanns as I am studying floristry at Oaklands College in St Albans, to enable me to gain the skills I need to open my own floristry business. Working evenings and weekends fits in perfectly with my life style and gives me plenty of free time to dedicate to my flowers.

I also love to cook and often attempt to recreate our monthly specials dishes at home for Nick and me when we have time off. I like the fact that our dishes are always fresh and the ingredients are ethically sourced. This is made evident to our customers as the restaurant is thriving and the people involved are passionate about the food and the want to provide great value for money. I look forward to serving you in the future.
